Calories are high, carbs are loaded and the body has what it needs to heal and recover.
Lowering carbs and calories, while increasing or maintaining the same workout regiment will take its toll on the body. Simple aches, pains, injuries, and issues will take longer to heal and recover from.
With 0 to extremely low carbs the body and brain are in a panic mode. The body can no longer heal effectively(or at all)and injuries compound, the brain loses capacity to function optimally.
